Forza Horizon 5 - Clips - Questions

These clips are of a circumstance where I'm not entirely sure what happened. Feel free to give me your opinion in the comments on YouTube.

Title Description
Desync?

Not sure if this was desync or not. The horn blast could be a moan at me for the "hit that I never did" (hence desync) or they might have the horn on the stick and are a bit of a controller squeezer when things get out of shape - I know this is a thing coz I do it when drifting! :)

Rammer or Desync?

So this felt very much like a rammer to me. When approached the player claimed it was desync.

Desync?

What do we think? Is this desync? The only reason I think it might be is the other car accelerates for no apparent reason.

MichaelBerg4111 - Blocking or erratic driving?

It's sometimes difficult to tell if someone sucks or if they're being dirty. I guess you just look for consistently sucking.

Devils2517 - I'm not sure who's bad it was! :)

My guess is my bad for going into the side of them and their bad for clipping the 3rd player. Still nothing that bad tbh.

AtiYoo2983 - Dirty prick or should I have left room?

So this is a bit difficult. I've been in this other dudes actual position (in a race) many, many, many times. There is a caveat to this I'll get to later. I've raged about who is at fault when someone closes a door and there being resulting contact, yet here is me closing that door!

At 15s I saw them make a mistake, I took the oppertunity and passed them. There was some car overlap which resulted in a little rub but as we come to the next braking zone I assumed the line was mine. However, this being racing and with an opponent close, my car body language was defensive. I.E. I was slightly to the right of the racing line going into a right hander. That's defence 101. Now obviously I can't see the other player, I'm hearing them but TBH I still can't tell how far up my side they are, only that they are at the left/right. Distance is judged by the volume of their engine and in the tunnels it's really hard to hear. Anyway I didn't know they'd stick their nose in so that's why I took a tighter line.

And now we get to the nub here, should they have stuck their nose in and why have I assumed the line is mine?

To the first question, it looks like they were never making that corner anyway given he hit me and the wall!

So there's that but theres the more philosophical answer... when I've been in this dudes situation I've been catching people, not recovering from a mistake where someone got through. Had I made a mistake and he passed I 100% would not have contested that corner the way he did because his position from which to attack and configuration of this particular corner meant there would ALWAYS be contact!

My assumption that the line is mine because the other player fucked up AND it's not an overtaking area AND it was obvious as fuck I was defending is hopelessly naive given the mindset of many horizon players. I'm guilty here of assuming a stranger is a fair racer an would acknowledge all those points.

Obviously for many players it's all about getting the win, it's about getting past the car in front. It's not even about fair or foul. Players will try to do it clean but if there's contact then it's a shrug and move on, that's just how it worked out. But the point is to get past. I closed the door on him so tough shit on me. He didn't mean it but we're going motor racing.

But I'm like fuck that! What happens when everyone thinks like that?

These would be Dirty Bois are not thinking or caring or giving a fuck about the consequences of their mindset. Instead all they care about is how it affects them. Not one of them ever thought "is this the best place to try to get past?"
